Traveling Dental Hygienist

I found a few links to information on becoming a traveling dental hygienist, and I just had to share them.

Enjoy,

~Sue~

A career as a traveling dental hygienist basically means that instead of getting a job with a specific dentist office and remaining there, you get a defined, temporary assignment before moving on to another office. You might get placed in Washington, D.C. for six months and then move to a placement in Virginia for four months, for instance. This setup has a dual benefit. First, you can find work even if jobs in your hometown are scarce. And second, dentists can cover temporary needs or get extra help during periods of peak demand.

Stop The Presses, There's A Change Out There!

So, when I started this little endeavor of writing about my life and the adventures that come my way, I never realized how much it was going to change and how much I would have to put on hold. :(

Getting into our RV seems like it's going to take longer (much longer) than expected. Our credit is pretty much shot, since I haven't been working and we are struggling to make things work on one income, PLUS pay for school.

Yup, you heard me right, I am going to school. I've decided to leave my teaching career behind, but for all the right reasons. reasons I will get into as the blog/my journal progresses. I have less time to devote to RV'ing and Tiny Life while I got to school, but until then, I am going to blog about my life as a 41 year old mother, wife and dental assisting student!! I plan to become a Dental Hygienist, and my goal is to unite my love of "cleaning" and RV'ing/Tiny House-ing.

I could be a traveling hygienist.....if they even have those. LOL

Well, it's Sunday morning, the kids are already fighting, hubby's sleeping and I'm just waiting for the dog to take his daily "dump" in the living room. Do I hate that he does that, Yes!! I do, but he's our little pound puppy, 2 years old, and he's a stubborn little SH&%!!!! Not to mention that he's a pittie! I have two tests tomorrow, but 7 weeks into the program and the tests are not as difficult as in the beginning. I have the basic terminology down and we're now just learning techniques and protocols. It's still hard, but at 41, learning seems a lot easier.

I am going to try to post as often as possible...at least, twice a week. I want to remember all of the things that are still fresh in my head!!!! :)
